Ride the Dump Challenge 2021

We, like you, are stoked to see restrictions easing and can’t wait to gather for larger, more formal events and social rides. Until then, we’re challenging you to keep the pedals turning, lines smooth and ride stoke high with…the virtual, Ride the Dump Challenge!

Every two weeks, June 14 through October 3, trails, a set route or particular challenge within Hartland Mountain Bike Park will be featured. Complete the trails or route within the designated timeframes and earn a digital badge plus, chance to win some sweet prizes! Cumulative elevation and distance badges can also be earned based on what completed over the entirety of the challenge, and it’s free to participate.

How It Works:

To unlock a badge, log your ride(s) on Trailforks* - directly with the app or synced from Strava. Once the badge criteria’s complete, it will automatically be granted to you; showing up on your profile. If you log a ride and Trailforks isn’t picking up that certain trail(s) were ridden, correct that by following the steps to "edit a ridelog" outlined in this video.

For every badge earned, you’ll be entered to win prizes generously donated by our sponsors. Winners will be messaged within two weeks of challenge completion via Trailforks. Please note that, while anyone can unlock the badges, you must be a SIMBS member to be eligible to win prizes. Not a member? Purchase a membership here!

Most importantly, remember that speed is not a factor so, keep it chill and, out of respect for your local builders and lands we enjoy, to borrow a saying from our NSMBA friends, braid your hair, not the trails

*Not a Trailforks or Strava user? No worries! We’ll happily accept emailed photos at the applicable trailheads in lieu. Send them to events@simbs.com by the applicable badge’s end date, and we’ll toss your name in the draw!

We acknowledge with gratitude that we live and enjoy recreation on the unceded territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ People.
